OUTSTANDING INLAID ROSEWOOD MIRROR BACK ETAGERE. Top section having a central shaped beveled edge large mirror flanked by shelves supported by carved and turned side posts with D-shaped shelves and shaped beveled mirror backs. Above which are molded edge shelves with shaped molded edge central shelf supporting a large crest with molded edge and architectural top. The back panels having multi-colored inlay marquetry design with cornucopias of fruit, swag and trailing vines. Bottom cabinet section with a drop center shelf under which is an inlaid drawer with decorative hardware under which is an open compartment with banister gallery having urn shaped spindles under which is a compartment fitted with two beveled glass doors. This center section is flanked by doors having seven section beveled edge mirrors framing a central inlaid flower panel. The whole piece is supported by six legs. The four front being delicately turned. PROVENANCE: From a fine Hallowell, Maine mansion. SIZE: 102″ h x 60″ w x 17″ d. CONDITION: Very good.
