FREDERICK CARL FRIESEKE (American, 1874-1939) BEACH STUDY. Oil on canvas scene shows an impressionistic view of thirteen people on a beach and in water. Three people stand up to waist in a blue ocean while several people, some wearing colorful hats, stand and sit on a sandy beach. Signed lower right “F.C. Frieseke”. Housed in a painted wood frame. SIZE: 19-3/4” x 23-3/4”. CONDITION: The original canvas has been mounted on another canvas, which appears to have another painting underneath. The stretcher has a partially obscured Burxelles stamp.
