Oil on canvas portrait of an older man with white mustache and white hair seated sideways to viewer wearing brown hat, black coat, red tie and white shirt. Housed in a gold molded wood frame. Attached to back of canvas is an old typewritten page describing the painting and indicating that the description is written by, what may be his son, William H. Davis 3-10-1922, Age 14 yrs. PROVENANCE: Descended through the artist’s family. SIZE: 35” x 26”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-98266 (1,000-1,500)
