A PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY ARGAND TABLE LAMPS BY BENJAMIN GARDINER. Circa 1845. Converted to electricity, mid-19th Century lamps having a fancy French Empire design with removable prism ring decorated with spread-winged eagles. The ring having cut prisms. The lamp decorated with baskets of flowers, the arm holding the light with a plaque marked “B. Gardiner, N. York”. Replaced non-matching glass shades. SIZE: 17” h x 12” at widest. CONDITION: Prisms with chips. Not all prisms present. Generally very good. 9-72289 (500-1,000)
