FINE TWO-PART LOUIS XVI STYLE ORMOLU DECORATED CYLINDER LADIES DESK. All over ormolu decorated with rose flower vines and ribbons. The top section having a roll front with inset eye dazzling block parquetry inlay. The top with pierced brass gallery. The interior fitted with three drawers and three cubby holes with good inlays. A pullout writing surface has inset tooled green leather top. Long single drawer has wreath ring handles and ormolu panel of playful cherubs. Oak secondary wood. All raised on four ormolu decorated tapered round fluted legs ending in ormolu pointed feet. The piece is in the manor of Francois Lenke. SIZE: 41-1/2” h x 31-3/4” w x 21” d.
