GEORGE FOURNIER (Mid 20th Century) “MAIN ST. WINSTED, CONN 1913”. Oil on canvasboard folk art rendition of a street scene with street railroad, horse and bakery cart, and building facades. Buildings include a sporting goods store, a millinery, bakery and grocery store. Housed in original stained pine frame. Signed lower right. Attached to reverse is a small colored drawing of a bakery cart and also an article from the Winsted Evening Citizen concerning the artist and inclusion of painting in the American Folk Art Museum in New York.
