OUTSTANDING CARVED CANED AND PAINTED FRENCH BED ORIGINALLY FROM THE MAXFIELD PARRISH HOME. The bed was a museum de-accession from the Cornish, New Hampshire home. The tall headboard having an oval panel with carved hanging basket of flowers flanked by two large pierced flower and leaf motifs and a decorative pierced wreath crest. The open sections have caning and the footboard with similar design having oval with archer’s bow, arrow, and flaming torch. The bed rests on tapered fluted round feet and has a light green antiqued finish. Original side-rails are present, having carved flower swags. SIZE: 86” h x 58” w x 77” l.
