NICE PENNSYLVANIA BIRCH AND POPLAR PIE SAFE. Circa 1840. The rectangular top above the conforming case, fitted with a pair of paneled cupboard doors above a long drawer; the case and door panels all fitted with punch-decorated tin inserts, the whole raised on square legs. The punch decorations depicting five-pointed stars within rondels within a border of stars and other folk art symbols. SIZE: 55-1/2″ h. x 40-1/2″ w. x 18″ d. CONDITION: Retains old scrubbed surface and expected wear overall. All tin panels intact, center panel left door facing with indentations. 9-91922 (500-700)
