FRANK HENRY SHAPLEIGH (American, 1842-1906) “IN COHASSET HARBOR”. Oil on canvas southeastern Massachusetts harbor scene shows a two-mast schooner moored next to wharf with long building in calm water. A small sailboat is being rowed out of the harbor and low land mass beyond. Signed lower right. Housed in its original gesso decorated gilt frame with gesso decorated gilt liner. Titled and signed on reverse of canvas. The frame retaining a George Davenport, Boston framing label. SIZE: 10″ x 16″. CONDITION: Very good, one small spot in sky. 9-20593 (4,000-5,000)
