MARGUERITE STUBER PEARSON (American, 1898-1978)”THE ECHO”. Oil on canvasboard interior scene shows a woman in white dress seated on a Victorian sofa playing the mandolin. In front of her is a floor standing brass birdcage with bird. The living room is set with a large vase of flowers, china closet, wall candelabra and mirror. Signed lower right “MS Pearson”. Housed in a fancy gold frame with linen liner. Several labels on reverse including two which state that the setting of the painting was in the home of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. SIZE: 8″ x 10″.
