F. TILGNER (Belgian 1871-1957) PAIR OF GENRE SCENES. Identically housed in gesso decorated gilt frames with labels of “John Wanamaker, Philadelphia” (with losses). Both oil on canvases signed lower right “Tilgner”. One shows boy and girl on steps, the boy sings aloud from a music sheet in hand. The other shows a young mother showing her young daughter a recently hatched chick in an interior setting. SIZE: 12-1/2″ x 10-1/2″. CONDITION: Craquelure, otherwise very good. 9-26578 (2,000-3,000)
