INLAID AND BURL WOOD 18TH CENTURY DRESSER BOX. Step-back box has serpentine top crest over a panel with white and dark inlaid ivory and wood star. Surrounded by an arrow inlaid border of light and dark. Bottom section with two serpentine front drawers with inlaid design and having locks. The two drawers pull completely out and reveal two hidden drawers behind each of the drawers. Top panel is on a spring release which allows it to fall down and reveal secret compartment which holds four drawers having burl front, molded edges and ivory pulls. SIZE: 12-3/4” h x 11-3/4” w x 9” d. CONDITION: There are some pieces of inlay and molding missing, fair to good. 9-27093 (800-1,200)
