GERMAN AUTOMATON OF LADY AT PIANO. A terrific automaton of a German papier-mâché lady seated at her grand piano. When activated, music plays, her head turns from side to side and elegantly she glides her hands along the ivory keys. The box is of a grain painted wood and elaborately decorated with stencils. The piano, with metal legs, is also grain painted and elaborately decorated with stenciling. SIZE: 13”w x 7”d x 10”h. CONDITION: Papier-mâché doll has replacement clothing and mechanism is sticky and in need of minor attention/lubrication. JL 1-2514 (1500-2500)
