GIACOMO GUARDI (Italian, 1764-1835) BOATS ON A VENICE CANAL. Watercolor on paper scene shows several gondolas on a canal with people in foreground and two towers with bridge. Signed on reverse & titled in Italian. Housed in what appears to be its original gilt frame. The watercolor has been mounted with only a spot glue mark to a fancy watercolor & gilt backing board with an artist cartouche. The backboard having an Adolphe Stoll French label. SIZE: 3″ x 6-1/4″.
