THOMAS ROWLANDSON (British, 1756-1827) TWO PRINTS “DUCK SHOOTING” AND “SNIPE SHOOTING”. Aquatint with hand coloring on wove paper after paintings by George Morland, (British, 1763-1804). Published 1790 by J. Harris. Both identically housed in black and gold molded wood frames. Duck Shooting shows a rowboat with four figures and dogs on waterway with house and trees. One man fires at group of flying ducks. Snipe Shooting shows three men and dogs in winter landscape with house and trees. A man prepares to shoot at flushed snipe. SIGHT SIZE: 19-1/2” x 24”. IMAGE SIZE: 14” x 18”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-27091 (400-600)
