The title “Sextants Astronomicus Prout Altitudinibus Infervit”. Signed in the plate “P. V.”. Believed to be an instrument invented by Tycho Brahe in the 16th Century. Housed in a gilt molded wood frame with gray matte. SIGHT SIZE: 16-3/4” x 11-1/2”. CONDITION: Good. Some foxing. 9-27090 (100-200)
