ANDREW A. MELROSE (American, 1836-1901) UNDER THE ELMS. Oil on board nice New England town view shows a couple walking under two tall trees with foreground connected house with woman at gate. The house has overgrown branches & vines covering its fence and siding. A steeple can be seen beyond the trees under blue and white cloud sky. Housed in a good modern gilt frame with wide gilt liner.
