EDWIN HOWLAND BLASHFIELD (American, 1848-1936) THE FRUIT SELLER. Oil on canvas scene shows a weathered fruit seller seated against a wall having two large broadsides, one for a steamship between New York and Naples. Beside him is a handled basket of oranges which he has displayed for sale. Signed lower right. Housed in a modern replacement gilt frame. SIZE: 14″ x 10-1/2″.
