CAST IRON HUBLEY ELGIN STREET SWEEPER. Incredible casting, the detail of the sweeper is almost an exact copy of those used in the streets across America. Painted in gray overall. Sweeper brush turns in a realistic action when the toy is pulled. Has nickel grill and white rubber tires. Driver painted in white uniform. “The Elgin” is embossed on the front of the sweeper. Impressed on bottom “Hubley MFG. Co., Lancaster, PA”. SIZE: 8-1/2″ L. CONDITION: Toy is in overall very good condition with some noticeable chipping throughout the body of the sweeper. Also nickel plated parts of toy show oxidation, and the bristle brush of sweeper shows wear from use. White tires are likely replacements. 1-11085 (2,500-3,000)
