JAN MATUKLA (American/Czech 1890-1972) HOUSES AND TELEPHONE POLES. Gouache watercolor and pencil scene shows a series of buildings with telephone poles. The back side of the watercolor has a black crayon drawing of a sailboat near buildings with silos. Signed lower left. Housed in a good gilt modern frame with linen and gilt liner. The back having glass with matte to view painting. Accompanying the lot is a handwritten receipt from Robert Simpson of St. Davids, Pennsylvania to the Reverend Beatrice Blair.
