HARRIET WHITNEY FRISHMUTH (American, 1880 – 1980) “THE STAR”. Bronze sculpture modeled in 1918. The top edge of the base marked “Harriet W Frishmuth 1918 Gorham Co. Founders 0 505”. Dark brown to black finish. The bronze depicts a standing nude woman with left arm and hand reaching straight up with head gazing up with other hand and arm to the side. The bottom mounted to a square black marble base. Unknown edition. SIZE: Bronze: 18″ h. Overall: 19″ h. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 9-98292 (6,000-9,000)
