SIMKA FAIBUSOVICH SIMKHOVITCH (American/Russian, 1893 – 1949) “EASTER BONNETS”. Large oil on canvas interior scene shows two young girls seated on a chaise lounge awaiting their departure for Easter services. Each wear a colorful bonnet and are in their fine spring dress. Each holds a gathering of pussy willows. Signed lower right. Housed in its original decorated wood frame. Back having several partial exhibition labels; one from the Carnigie Institute, Pittsburgh, PA; another from the Milch Gallery, NY. Title on back of stretcher. SIZE: 35″ x 32″. CONDITION: Very good.
