EMILE ALBERT GRUPPE (American, 1896-1978) “FALL VERMONT”. Fine oil on canvas fall Vermont scene shows a dirt road leading to a barn with stone wall, several birch trees and blue mountains beyond. The sun shines through some dark clouds casting light on the high leaves of the trees showing bright colors of yellow and red. A wonderful late afternoon scene under waning light. Signed bottom right and titled on reverse of stretcher. Housed in a silver carved period frame, possibly original. SIZE: 25″ x 30″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-21529 (15,000-25,000)
