CHINESE EXPORT ROSE MEDALLION COVERED VEGETABLE DISH TOGETHER WITH A BRUSH BOX. Mid-19th century. The deep rectangular dish with notched corners fitted with a lid with knopped finial, the rectangular box opening to a divided compartment. Both decorated overall with scrolled cartouches depicting scenes of oriental life. SIZE: First: 4-1/2″ h. x 8-1/2″ l. x 7″ w. Box: 2-3/4″ h. x 7″ l. x 3-3/4″ w. CONDITION: The dish with wear to gilding on edges and minor chips, otherwise both in very good condition. 9-91865 (500-700)
