SCARCE BUDDY L IMPROVED CYLINDER STEAM SHOVEL ON TREADS. This steam shovel came in two versions; with and without treads. This is the much more scarce version of this toy. Toy is painted black and red overall having black steam shovel, black top of cab, black painted treads as well as red base. Also complete with two pistons. When handle is turned on the steam shovel the pistons raise and lower the scoop. Remnants of decals are found on either side of cab. SIZE: 22″ l x approx. 17″ h. CONDITION: Very good. These outdoor construction toys were usually very heavily played with. It is extremely hard to find ones that have not been excessively damaged through the years. Some minor wear to red roof of toy, as well as some paint flaking on scoop, some discoloration and wear to treads. 1-11073 (5,000-6,000)
