INSCRIBED BOWIE KNIFE. 8-7/8” clip point blade marked “HERBERT / ROBINSON / SHEFFIELD / HAND FORGED” on the left ricasso. The ivory hilt is engraved “Samuel H. Grey. 1877”. The hallmarks “HH”, crown, lion passant date letter “0” for 1881-2. “HH” is not an identified maker. CONDITION: The blade has been polished and chemically toned. Hilt has one lengthwise crack, otherwise fine. The silver pommel and throat have light scratches and dents. 4-49539 X71 (500-1000)
