EUGENE GALIEN-LALOUE (French 1854-1941) “LA GARE DE L’EST”. Outstanding gouache on paper scene shows a busy corner with hundreds of pedestrians coming from shopping at the well appointed storefronts that dot the streets and arriving and departing from the East Side Train Station. It is early evening and the lights are on at the station and at the cafes and storefronts. A trolley can be seen on tracks and a back view of an exiting car. Signed lower left. Housed in a modern fancy gilt frame with linen matte having gold edge, all behind glass. SIZE: Sight: 15″ x 23″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-26365 (20,000-30,000)
