ANIMATED BLACK BOY STORE DISPLAY. A striking image for black, doll, and automaton collectors. A large electrified, moving figure of standing black boy. Composition head, hands and feet, dressed in porter like outfit consisting of red tux jacket, black bow tie and pants. Beautiful details on face showing exaggerated negro features. When activated, head nods, with moving glass eyes. Given position of hands, figure may have held banjo or other device. SIZE: 28″ t. CONDITION: Movement is working though, not for long periods. One eye missing lashes, and two fingers repaired otherwise store display is good to very good with dusty clothes. Image of facial area is strong. 1-28853 (2000-3000)
