SIGNED (20th Century) EIGHT ILLUSTRATION PANELS FOR A CHILDREN’S BOOK. Oil on plywood. Two boards, double sided with two square paintings on each side. They depict forest elves? in different scenes riding in a shoe on water; a toy horse; under a strawberry; under a toadstool; chased by a bee; under some flowers and with a boy and girl. They are signed indistinctly and dated 1944. Appear to be illustrations from a unknown book. SIZE: Each painting is 12-1/2” x 12-1/2”. Each panel is 28-1/4” x 15-3/4”. CONDITION: Some loss of paint, chipping. Fair to good. 9-95238 (500-1,000)
