CHARLES DANA (American, Late 19th Century) THE BEDOUIN ENCAMPMENT. Oil on canvas Algerian scene shows a family gathered around their tent. Two women are seen next to a campfire and a man is seated next to a woman nursing a baby. All are wearing traditional dress and the tent is set on a sandy area surrounded by palm trees. Signed lower right “Ch Dana Algeria 1897″. Housed in a modern carved and gilt frame with linen liner. SIZE: 16″ x 20”. PROVENANCE: Private Boston area collection.
