SMITH & WESSON FIRST MODEL SECOND ISSUE REVOLVER. Cal .22 short. Blued finish with 3-3/16” keyhole bbl, silver plated brass frame and 2-pc square butt rosewood grips. SN 46242. CONDITION: Good, with matching numbered grips. The face of the cylinder and face of bbl lug are pitted so the assembly numbers are not visible. Bbl retains 15-20% original blue with the balance a mottled blue brown patina. The cylinder is a silver patina with weak patent dates but legible. The frame retains about 75-80% strong original plating. Grips are sound with about 90% original varnish. Good mechanics, strong bright bore with light pitting. 4-49947 JR507 (300-500)
