FINE ORIENTAL ROOT CARVING. Mid-20th century. The hardwood carving depicting four animated figures in the act of gaming, gathered around a round center table in the middle of which is a bowl of dice, the whole on a detailed and ornate rockwork plinth. SIZE: 12″ h. x 8″ dia. CONDITION: Very fine original condition, with good carving, with acceptable and normal shrinkage crack at rear of figural group and loss of fingertip to uppermost figure. 9-90897 (300-500)
