PAIR OF CARVED WOODEN POLYCHROME PAINTED ORIENTAL STATUES OF WARRIORS. Late 19th Century. Each figure in a fighting pose, hair tied in a top-knot, wearing a gilt necklace, bracelets, and anklets, wearing a silvered tunic. Both encircled in a flowing scarf decorated with gilded cloud bands standing barefoot on rocky plinths mounted on an associated rectangular stand. SIZE: Statues are 26″ h. CONDITION: One warrior missing weapon in left hand, rocky plinths with paint scuffing, otherwise very good overall. 9-74621 (1,500-2,000)
