A NICE INDONESIAN CARVED AND POLYCHROME PAINTED FIGURE OF A DEITY. Late 18th century. Carved from the solid, the seated female figure with braided tiara, flowing robes, and pendant necklace. The right arm jointed and extended with open palm, the left arm jointed and bent at the elbow, the right leg crossed, seated on a carved pedestal. SIZE: 40″ h. x approximately 22″ overall w. CONDITION: Statue is weathered with minor losses to fingertips and toes; painted surfaces faded, chipped and worn. The forearms are doweled to the body of the statue.
