CLOCKWORK “MONTREAL” SIDE-WHEELER ATTRIBUTED TO LUTZ OR ROCK & GRANER. A very rare form and in as found, untouched condition. This toy was purchased over 30 years ago at a New York estate sale for $75 and subsequently has sat on this gentleman’s shelf in the same condition as purchased back then. Fine quality painting detail further enhance the desirability of paddle wheel boats and although this boat does need some minimal repairs, once again a unique opportunity to purchase a toy of this quality. Original paddle wheels are intact, fine quality painting to decking, however, there is some damage to rear deck and appears that there should have been an awning supported by four poles on said deck. It’s great to find toys that are fresh to the market that are in untouched condition, thus the collector can decide what, if any restoration should be performed. SIZE: Approx. 19″ l. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. Slight cancering to small section of keel by bow of boat. Stern and upper deck need to be aligned, lacking mast. 1-10641 (15,000-20,000)
