VERY RARE DYNAMITE ADVERTISING. This very attractive early paper litho was for “Miner’s Friend” Dynamite. The focal point of the picture is a lovely young maid tippy-toeing across the brook, a miner in background, preparing to plant some Miner’s Friend Dynamite who is temporarily distracted by her presence. Printed at bottom “Miner’s Friend Dynamite, the Best in the World” Hecla Powder Co., 239 Broadway, New York. Probably late 19th Century. While we have handled thousands of advertisements relating to firearms and munitions over the years, this is the first ever dynamite advertisement we have ever handled. SIZE: 9” by 14-1/4”.
