IVES CLOCKWORK CIRCUS RIDER TOY. A unique form, mounted upon a paneled walnut box with clockwork mechanism enclosed is American tin horse with a bare back rider standing on the mare’s back. When the toy is activated, the horse imitates a prancing action where the female figure stands atop the platform and spins about. Highly desirable and sought after American Clockwork toy from the 1880s. This particular toy has tremendous ascetic appeal. SIZE: Approx. 14-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Walnut box is lacking two corner wood pieces, female figure is incorrect. Overall good to very good plus. 1-10817 (2,500-4,500)
