WARREN W. SHEPPARD (American, 1858-1937) VENICE CANAL. Oil on canvas Venice scene shows a canal winding under a bridge through tall buildings with one gondolier and another small boat. A blue shutter has lost one hinge but is open revealing two potted plants in the window. Other windows show laundry drying and a small cafe has two gentleman standing out front near flowers. Signed lower left. Housed in its original gilt gesso decorated frame having two gilt liners. SIZE: 18″ x 12″. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones.
