*1917 DATED ARTILLERY LUGER. Cal. 9 mm. Standard artillery configuration with 8” bbl, fine-tune sights numbered to this pistol, full-checkered wood grips and a stainless body wood base magazine. It has British proofs. SN 5127d. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching including the grips. The magazine has very large numerals “5248”. Bbl and receiver retain 93-95% strong bright original blue. The frame retains about 95% strong bright original blue with some scattered light surface pitting. The bolt, toggle and link retain 96-98% blue. The left grip is missing a small chip at the safety, otherwise thegrips are sound, showing moderate wear with a couple of mashed spots and a few chipped diamonds. The magazine is fine with chipped base. Strong bright bore, dark in the grooves. 4-49503 JR422 (1,000-1,500)
