WILLIAM LIONEL WYLLIE (British, 1851-1931) SEASCAPE.. BRINGING IN THE CATCH. Oil on canvas shows eight fisherman in small boat which has stern sail which is down. Two men haul in net with some fish attached. Boat is in rough light blue to green sea. A similar boat is in distance with other sails. Seagulls left and center sky. Signed lower left “W.L. Wyllie Aug. 1872”. Housed in a replacement gilt gesso decorated frame with linen liner. Label of Ricks Willson Limited Williamsburg, VA on back of dust cardboard. SIZE: 18” x 32”. CONDITION: Very good. Old relining, cleaned. 9-94010 (9,000-12,000)
