*1939 42-CODE LUGER. Cal. 9 mm. Usual configuration with 4” bbl, “1939” over the chamber and “42” on the toggle link. It has full-checkered wood grips and a blue-bodied aluminum base magazine with number “8027 l”. SN 3778r. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching except the grips, which are unnumbered and the magazine. Bbl and receiver retain about 90% original blue with muzzle wear and thin areas on the sides of bbl and sides of the receiver. The bolt, toggle and link retain most of their original finish, slightly thinned. The frame retains about 85% original blue with thin front and back straps and scattered light surface rust. The grips are very fine with a couple of chipped diamonds and minor diamond point wear. The magazine is fine. Strong bright bore with light pitting in the grooves. 4-49502 JR426 (600-1,000)
