RARE GROUP OF SAND CHESSMEN. Each carved from one piece of whale bone. They have toothpick ends with figural tops. They show carved queen, a rook, bishop, two eagles, a hand and two others. These were used by sailor’s in sand chess games. SIZE: Range from 4-1/4” to 5-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-95379 (500-1,000)
