AUTOPERIPATETIKOS MECHANICAL DOLL WITH ORIGINAL BOX. Circa 1860s. Doll came with numerous types of heads, this happens to be a paper mache head. Doll has original leather body and brass feet, when wound the feet shuffle the doll along in movement. Original body and clothes. Accompanied by its original box. Label on box shows a picture of the walking doll with directions on how to operate. SIZE: 9-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Trim on doll clothes needs to be reattached, otherwise doll is in near excellent condition. One edge of box lid has been repaired with brown paper, has some staining and some indentations on box, and slight cracks. 1-11109 (700-900)
