*1896 MAUSER BROOMHANDLE PISTOL WITH STOCK. Cal. 30 Mauser. Standard small-ring broomhandle with 5-1/2” tapered round bbl, barleycorn front sight, 1,000 meter rear sight and fine serrated wood grips with a lanyard ring in the butt. It is accompanied by its original matching-numbered holster/stock. Accompanied by a War Trophy paper dated 22 September 1945, certifying ownership of this pistol to T/3 Russell Thomas. SN 302804. CONDITION: Good to very good. Retains 92-93% original finish overall, slightly thin on bbl with sharp edge wear elsewhere and some freckles of rust on the magazine box. The grip frame is brown with some scattered pitting on the front strap. Strong bore with moderate pitting. The sear spring is broken. The stock is sound, no cracks and retains generous amounts of its original finish with some oil staining by the lug. 4-49333 (1,500-2,000)
