WONDERFUL SILK EMBROIDERED EAGLE NAVAL MEMORY. “In memory of my cruise, China, Japan, Russia and Philippine Islands.” Believed to have been done at the time Teddy Roosevelt sent the great white fleet around the world. This great patriotic piece features a spread winged eagle clutching a shield with an array of American flags. A photograph of a WWI naval man is framed within the shield and is most certainly the young man who had the piece built. SIZE: 23” x 19-1/4” (image only).
