JANE PETERSON (American, 1876-1965) “THE OLD MIRROR”. Outstanding oil on canvas colorful still life scene shows a blue vase of colorful flowers set in front of a Sheraton split column picture mirror with two decorated copper luster pitchers beside. The background is a lavender wall paper with gold pattern. The scene in the picture mirror is purportedly a rendition of Petersons’ house. Signed lower left. Housed in a modern gilt frame. Two labels affixed to reverse of canvas with title, artist and address. SIZE: 32-1/4″ x 32-1/4″. CONDITION: Very good with inpainting. 9-97839 (5,000-10,000)
