PAINTED LEATHER A-2 FLYING JACKET. The reverse of this jacket is painted with a pixie-like figure riding a bomb while holding a list of German bomb targets. The lower section shows 29 individual bombs and one large exploding bomb with the 30 painted on its fins. Just below the collar is the title “The RENOWN”. On the right front of the jacket is in indistinct squadron patch which appears to be a bomber aircraft on a red background. Jacket was manufactured by “Bronco Mfg. Corp. New York, N.Y. SIZE: 42. CONDITION: The leather shows wear but no stitching faults. The cuffs and waistband appear to be original to the jacket but heavily worn. 4-49246 CW8 (1,000-1,750)
