LARGE OPEN MOUTH JUMEAU DOLL. Very pretty earlier version of the open mouth Tete Jumeau bebe fully marked with the red stamp on the head “15” and blue stamp on body reading “BEBE JUMEAU DEPOSE PARIS”. She has blue weighted glass sleep eyes, open mouth with six porcelain upper teeth and is on the original fatter Jumeau body, fully jointed with fatter, earlier fingers. She has been elaborately re-costumed in a copy of a Jumeau couture dress and consists of purple velvet and cream pleated satin and antique ecru lace. Wig is newer brown human hair and the shoes are newer brown leather. SIZE: 32″ (81cm). CONDITION: Significant firing separation on left side of head with a possible faint surface hairline extending in the opposite direction. There are two other minor firing separations at the back of the head as well, but they are on the rim edge and do not extend into the head itself. 1-10647 (900-1,200)
