ABBOTT FULLER GRAVES (American, 1859-1936) MAKING THE ARRANGEMENTS. Large oil on canvas interior scene shows two young women seated at a table covered with beautiful flowers. They are hand selecting flowers and making arrangements. Over the shoulder of one lady is a window with bright light cascading through and shining on the table full of flowers and the other young woman. The room is set with a framed picture, utensils and a cane seat chair. Below the table is a large wicker basket full of colorful flowers cascading onto the floor which is also full of colorful flower petals. Housed in its magnificent original gilt gesso decorated frame. Signed lower right and dated 90. SIZE: 26-1/2″ x 37″. CONDITION: One patch to reverse, recently cleaned, having reinforcing to canvas at tack edges, minor inpainting, very good. 9-25207 (25,000-50,000)
