ATTRIBUTED TO ALBERT BIERSTADT (American, 1830-1902) PANORAMIC VIEW OF THE WHITE MOUNTAINS, NH. Oil on canvas autumn scene shows three figures on horseback with dog beside small lake surrounded by colorful trees. Across the lake are a series of hills leading to a mountain peak. Blue to yellow sky. Signed bottom left “Albert Bierstadt”. Housed in an antique gilt molded wood frame. Presently with a white foamcore back retaining three old typewritten cards with biography of artist. SIZE: 21″ x 36″. CONDITION: Relined, restored with inpainting. In its most recent cleaning, the bottom left area involving the artist’s signature was left alone and fluoresces under black light. 9-98230 (10,000-20,000)
